Super Pi Checksum Validation

Use this tool to verify that a Super Pi benchmark result is genuine. Enter the run time and the 8-character checksum from your Super Pi run, and we'll confirm whether they match a valid, untampered result.

Validate Checksum

Enter both the time and the checksum, and press Validate.

How to Find the Checksum

When a calculation finishes, newer SuperPi versions display the run time alongside a checksum. The checksum is an 8-character hexadecimal code (for example D42D547B) that is derived from the run duration, so you can verify that a benchmark result has not been tampered with.

Super Pi results window showing the run time and checksum

Read the time (here 0h 00m 07.797s) and the checksum from the output after the run completes, then enter both values in the form above and press Validate to confirm the result is genuine.

About Super Pi

Super Pi was originally written by Yasumasa Kanada in 1995. It was updated later by snq to add millisecond timing, cheat protection and the checksum this page validates.

Super Pi is highly popular in the overclocking community as a benchmark to compare systems and compete against one another.
